Governor AbdulRazaq Delivers Phase One Of Osin-Laduba Road In Asa LGA

Date: 2026-01-12

The Kwara State Government has announced the successful completion of Phase One of the Osin-Laduba Road project in Asa Local Government Area. This milestone was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Communication, Ibraheem Abdullateef.

The project features a modern drainage system and full asphalt surfacing, which Abdullateef noted were executed according to high standards to ensure long-term durability.

For decades, the Osin-Laduba Road had been categorised as one of the state's "forgotten roads." Despite being a frequent fixture in the campaign promises of previous administrations, the road remained in a state of disrepair until this recent intervention.

According to the SSA, the completion of this phase is part of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's wider strategy to open up rural areas. The administration aims to boost local commerce, facilitate tourism, and improve the overall quality of life for residents by providing reliable transport links.

Community members in Osin-Laduba and surrounding areas have expressed significant relief following the development. Many residents described the newly paved road as a long-awaited solution to years of economic hardship and travel difficulties caused by the previously dilapidated route.
