Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar CFR, and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, have all been formally invited to the unveiling of a book titled: Shaykh (Dr.) Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON: The Spiritual Orator.

The book launch is scheduled to hold on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, Opposite Government House, Ilorin.

The book is the biography of Shaykh (Dr.) Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON, the 12th Chief Imam of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Ulama. The book reveals his birth, career, emergence, and service since his appointment in 1983 by the 9th Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Zuluqarnaini Gambari Mohammed CFR. The 14-chapter book offers a comprehensive analysis of both the private and public lifestyle of the Chief Imam.

The book is authored by Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, a seasoned journalist and Press Secretary to the Emir of Ilorin.

Dignitaries and Programme

The event will also witness a public lecture to be delivered by the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof. Abdulrasheed Na'Allah, while the book will be reviewed by the former Dean of Post-Graduate Studies at the University of Ilorin, Prof. Yusuf Lanre Badmas.
