Kwara United secured a 2-0 victory over Kun Khalifat in their Matchday 3 clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), played on Sunday at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
New signings Aule Johnmark and Kingsley Obiorah were the match winners, scoring in the 24th and 82nd minutes respectively to deliver the Harmony Boys their first three points of the season.
Second-half substitutes Shola Abdulraheem, Gidado Toheeb, and Obiorah injected fresh energy into the team and played pivotal roles in consolidating the win.
Speaking after the match, Head Coach Tunde Sanni commended his players for adhering to the tactical plan, describing the game as "a good test ahead of the team's CAF clash in Ghana in two weeks' time."
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Man of the Match honours were awarded to Aule Johnmark for his composed performance and decisive goal.
With this result, Kwara United move to 10th position on the league table with four points from three matches.
