Governor AbdulRazaq Calls for Faith and Patriotism as Kwara Muslims Mark Eid-el-Adha

Date: 2025-06-06

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has urged residents to remain steadfast in their faith and loyalty to Nigeria amid the Eid-el-Adha celebrations, which begin on Friday, 6 June 2025 (10 Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH) .

In a message released on Thursday, the governor extended warm greetings to the Muslim community, particularly highlighting his felicitations for His Royal Highness the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, Chairman of the State Council of Chiefs.

Governor AbdulRazaq stated that Eid-el-Adha symbolises the rewards of unwavering faith and trust in God, mirroring the devotion of Prophets Ibrahim (Abraham) and Muhammad (peace be upon them). He encouraged citizens to uphold the values of sacrifice and communal harmony during the festival.

"As we celebrate this sacred festival, I urge everyone to remain steadfast in their faith in God and in our shared commitment to the Nigerian project. Let us continue to promote peaceful coexistence, support sustainable development efforts, and reject anything that undermines the growth and unity of Nigeria, our fatherland," the Governor says.

"I wish everyone a blessed Eid and many more years of good health and happiness. As we celebrate, I encourage us all to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu and our administration, while staying faithful to God and the unity and collective wellbeing of our communities."
