Cabinet Reshuffle: Modibbo Kawu Tasks Heads of Institutions on Proactive Role in Educational Development
Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, the newly appointed Commissioner for the Ministry of Tertiary Education, has urged leaders of tertiary institutions to collaborate closely with her in developing the educational sector within Kwara State.
The commissioner made this appeal on Tuesday during separate congratulatory visits by the management teams of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin , and Kwara State College of Education, Oro , to her office. She encouraged them to adopt proactive approaches in fulfilling their responsibilities and enhancing institutional effectiveness.
Hajia Modibbo Kawu was recently redeployed to the Tertiary Education Ministry from the Education and Human Capital Development Ministry as part of a cabinet reshuffle. Her vision focuses on fostering teamwork and innovation to drive progress in higher education across the state.
Kawu, while reiterating the commitment and giant strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to the educational sector by improving the standards of learning across the state, urged the management of both Kwara State Polytechnic and College of Education, Oro to improve their capability to uphold the government's mission of providing quality education to citizens of the State while appreciating both teams for the kind gesture and timely visit.
Speaking on behalf of the team, the Provost, College of Education, Oro, Professor. Mukaila Aremu thanked the Almighty Allah for returning Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu to the Ministry of Tertiary Education and promised his unflinching support to the Commissioner.
Also, the Rector of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Mohammed Abdul welcomed the Commissioner and registered his total loyalty to the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. He prayed for God to guide and guard the administration for more achievements.
