New UNILORIN Bursar Prioritises Automation to Drive University’s Vision
As reported by Royal News, the University of Ilorin’s newly appointed Bursar, Mr. Abiodun Lawal, officially assumed his role on Friday, November 1st, 2024.
Upon taking office, Mr. Lawal expressed his commitment to prioritise the university’s automation system, currently under development by the institution's management.
He emphasised that automation would significantly advance the University’s Vision 1:10:100 initiative, aiming to streamline operations and enhance institutional goals.
Lawal said: “The automation system will go a long way to ease the operation of the University and get the desired result. I believe if we are fully automated, the Vision 1:10:100 will be easier to achieve than with the old manual system we were using.”
He thanked the Governing Council, the management and members of staff of the Bursary Unit for the confidence they reposed in him, saying, “I hope that my coming to office will bring a lot of good and prosperity to the University.
I hope that my tenure will be known for good. I hope I will put in my best to take the University to the next level. The University has been great and I hope and pray that during my tenure as Bursar, it will be greater.
“It is time for work and I believe if we work as a team, together we will achieve the vision of the University, the Vision 1:10:100 that the management and the Council of the University have put in place.”
