APC Suspends Former Publicity Secretary Alhaji Tajuedeen Aro for Anti-Party Activities
As reported by Daily Trust, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its former publicity secretary, Alhaji Tajuedeen Aro, over alleged anti-party activities.
In a letter dated August 15, 2024, and obtained by Daily Trust, the party leadership in Ojomu North West accused Aro of engaging in actions contrary to the party's interests, which led to his suspension.
The letter reads in part, “In view of your recent blatant anti-party activities, the attempt to create discord and divisiveness within the party and your disregard for party supremacy, the decision-making organ of our party in the ward hereby suspends your membership of the party with immediate effect.”
Reacting, Aro, who confirmed the action, however, denied engaging in anti-party activities and accused the party executives of not following due process.
