According to news report from Voice of Nigeria, Hajiya Abiola has officially taken over as the new Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kwara State.

She succeeds Mohammed Bashir, who has been promoted to Assistant Commander General of Narcotics and posted to the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja as the Deputy Director for Drug Demand Reduction.

Bashir handed over the official documents to Hajiya Abiola during a formal ceremony, marking the start of a new chapter in the state's battle against drug abuse and trafficking.

In his remarks, ACGN Bashir expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation received during his tenure and urged the officers and men of the command to extend the same courtesy to the new Commander.

He also commended the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Retired Brigadier Buba Marwa and the entire management team of the agency for their guidance and support.

The new Commander, Hajiya Abiola thanked the former Commander for his dedication and commitment to the agency's mission and pledged to build on the achievements recorded during his tenure.

She also assured the command of her resolve to intensify the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in Kwara State, and solicited the support and cooperation of the management team in this regard.
