Shuaib Ayodeji Danmairomu Appointed as New Kwara State Correctional Service Controller

Shuaib Ayodeji Danmairomu has been appointed the new Controller of the Kwara State Correctional Service Command.

According to a news report from Daily Post, Danmairomu takes over following the demise of the late controller, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who passed away on May 25, 2024, at his residence in Ayetoro community, Zango-Kulende area of Ilorin, the state capital. Oyun was laid to rest last Saturday in his hometown, Ipee, in Oyun Local Government Area.

A statement by the command's spokesman, Adegbulugbe Philip, in Ilorin on Tuesday, confirmed that Danmairomu's appointment was approved by the Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa.

Hailing from Balogun Fulani Ward in Ilorin South Local Government Area, Danmairomu was previously the Controller of Corrections in charge of Custody at the National Headquarters in Abuja. He is a graduate of the University of Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State and has served in various capacities within the service.

Danmairomu assumed his new role on Monday, June 3, 2024, becoming the fourth substantive Controller of Corrections in Kwara State since the service was renamed the Nigerian Correctional Service from Nigerian Prisons.
