Vice President Shettima, Other Big Wigs to Attend 30th Anniversary of Ghalib Chambers

According to a news report from New Telegraph, Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to visit Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, this Saturday to attend the 30th anniversary celebration of Ghalib Chambers, the law office of Mallam (Professor) Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN.

The event will also see the presence of other notable figures, including the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola; and former Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN.

A statement released on Sunday by Mr Kunle Akogun, on behalf of the organising committee, announced that the anniversary celebration will take place at the Banquet Hall in Ilorin and will feature a special lecture on 'Presidential or Parliamentary System of Government: Where is the Convergence?' delivered by former Governor Raji Fashola of Lagos State.

The statement further noted that the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will be the host, while the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, will serve as the royal host.

Other events lined up for the celebration include a novelty football match between Ghalib Chambers and the Kwara NUJ team on Thursday, 30th May 2024, at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin, and a Dinner & Award Night on Friday, 31st May 2024.
