University of Ilorin Elevates 40 Senior Staff to Professorial Rank
According to a news report from Daily Post, the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced the promotion of 40 senior academic staff members to the esteemed position of professor.
As per the university's Bulletin released on Monday, the elevation received approval from the Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman, SAN.
The publication highlighted the exceptional achievements of the 40 scholars in teaching, research, and community engagement, leading to their promotion to the highest academic rank.
A detailed breakdown revealed that 11 of the newly promoted professors belong to the Faculty of Agriculture, while two lecturers from the Faculty of Clinical Sciences and two from the Faculty of Communication & Information Sciences were also elevated.
Additionally, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Life Sciences each contributed one and four new professors, respectively, among others.
