Born in February 1940, the renowned educator died on Sunday in Ilorin, the state capital. He was the founder of the popular Muhyi-Deen College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, which was the first diploma-awarding Arabic and Islamic training institution in Ilorin. The Governor salutes the uncommon strides of the trail-blazing scholar, his impacts on learning in Kwara State, and his positive impacts in the lives of thousands of people who have passed through the institutions.

On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, the Governor sends his condolences to the family of the Sheikh, the College community, and all his students worldwide who continue to make tremendous contributions to the field of Arabic and Islamic knowledge, and national development.

The Governor said the family and students should be comforted by the great achievements and positive legacies of the late scholar who rose to prominence by dint of hardwork, great thirst for knowledge, commitment to community service, and God's benevolence.

He asks Allah, the Living and Everlasting, to forgive the late scholar and grant him Al-jannah Firdaus, and keep his inheritors and students on the path guidance.
