Aremu Hails Kannike As Law Professor Advocates Use Of AI In Education System
Prof Bashiru Aremu, UNESCO Laureate and Vice-Chancellor Crown University has commended Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) as Law Professor emphasised the usefulness of Artificial Intelligence in modern education system.
The media learnt this today being on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from World Acclaimed Distinguished Universities Research Professor of Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology in a press statement personally signed by him, which was made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta state capital by UNESCO Laureate’s Executive Assistant On Media, Publicity and Communication Matters, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike as Prof Aremu described Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike as a world-class legal luminary.
The Profesor of Law at the Kwara State University, Malete reiterated the importance of modernising Nigeria’s education system through the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems.
Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike made this known while delivering the convocation lecture of I-FATOSS University, in Benin Republic recently.
He said: “Artificial Intelligence in modern education practice, the re-enginering of Nigeria’s education system and the rest of the world will create a better environment for modern teaching and learning. The law Professor has stated during his lecture: “For example, to teach law students contract law and other law subjects, it is important to teach them through AI and introduce them to artificial intelligence otherwise, law will outpace law students”.
“Technology is considered to help institutions make serious changes in their processes and design a knowledge-based curriculum. AI, in all its forms, is a particular area of interest for educators who want to teach and help students learn through personalised study materials in a user-friendly environment. Most staffing may not be needed in schools or offices as robots can successfully handle such jobs. There will be less reliance on human teaching as robots can also teach successfully just like a human”.
UNESCO Laureate and VC CUICI, USA in a statement while reacting to the law Professor’s comments, commended Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike on this good recommendation of Artificial intelligence, Machine learning to global education systems as Prof Aremu noted that the development if implemented globally will improve environment of modern teaching and learning.
According to UNESCO Laureate, “AI, Artificial intelligence will help Institutions and other education stakeholders, encourage the growing acceptance of distance learning in global higher education system to meet up with the dynamics of education system”.
” It will serve as solution tools in education sector for both teachers and students. Government must create the needed enabling environment for the success of the digital transformation”.
