KWSG Prioritises Digital Literacy to Drive Development
The Kwara State Government has disclosed that it is prioritising digital literacy for more development to spring up in the State's economic sector, thereby reiterating its support for the Nigerian Computer Society.
The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Yusuf Adelodun Damilola, stated this while receiving Executive members of the Ngerian Computer Society, who paid a courtesy visit in her office.
The Commissioner explained that the government embraces the decision of the Society in collaborating with the State Government to transform the State into an economically viable and self-sustainable State via digital literacy, youth empowerment, innovation and technology.
Hon. Damilola said that the structural arrangement of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, lies in business activities, boosting trade, creativity, innovation, and technology to improve revenue generation in the State and assured residents of the administration's continuous investments on things that would bring ease to the people.
The Commissioner therefore implored the Society to plan ahead for future generations in Kwara State and the Nation at large because the Society is the bedrock of innovative minds in the State.
The Chairman, Nigerian Computer Society, Mr. TaofiK Abdulkareem, commended the State Government, under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for bringing such high-level, cross-sectoral, and diverse young innovators together to drive the digital transformation agenda for the State.
