Saraki tasks Nigerians on unity
Senator Bukola Saraki canvassed a unified Nigeria as the greatest Christmas gift the present generation could give to the founding fathers of the nation.
Saraki said that at present, Nigerians should have overcome divisive tendencies in such areas as religion, tribe and sex.
In his Christmas message in Ilorin, the former governor, while reminiscing on events of 2012, described them as awful but believed that the nation could come out of the wood if all the major stakeholders muster enough courage, zeal and determination to take the nation to the next level of development.
He said: "I rejoice with Nigerians on this happy occasion of Christmas. This year, we have witnessed the high and the low as a nation united to remain as one despite the many challenges we are faced with on a daily basis."
