Kwara State To Install Transformers In Five Communities
Kwara State Commissioner for Energy, Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje White has said the Ministry has secured approval to install another set of transformers for five communities in the state.
The Commissioner in a statement, listed the benefiting communities as Oke-Odo community, Erin-Ile in Oyun local government; Offa General Hospital (Offa LG); Obbo- Ile community, Palace Area (Ekiti LG); Oke-Ayewu community, in Shao (Moro LG); and As-Sunnah Kutashi, Tanke Oke-Odo, in Ilorin South local government respectively.
This comes a few weeks after the administration directed the installation of 400 units of solar street lights and 18 transformers for several communities across the sixteen local governments of the state.
Agbaje said the gesture was in furtherance of the government's commitment to the well-being of the citizens, adding that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is sensitive to socio-economic development in all parts of the state.
He observed that lack of access to electricity supply slows down the economic growth of affected areas, saying the administration will continue to address the issues in a steady way and urged communities that are still awaiting similar gestures to be patient while government mobilises resources for more.
