Malaysia Appoints KWASU Professor to National Security Index Study

The National Security Council of the Prime Minister's office of Malaysia has appointed Professor Abdul Rauf Ambali of Kwara State University as an expert to validate that country's indicators of national security index.

The appointment letter which was signed by Datuk Haji Rodzi Bin MD Saad said the National Security Council, in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), was conducting a National Security Index Study for the year 2022.

The letter which read in part that, "It is hoped that through this appointment, Prof. Dr. can help to produce more comprehensive research findings and develop more accurate National Security Index", added that the study would be based on nine values/domains of national security.

Meanwhile, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh has congratulated Professor Abdul Rauf Ambali on the appointment.

Professor Jimoh noted that the appointment confirmed the world class status of many KWASU staff adding that Professor Ambali, a political scientist and the University's Director of Academic Planning was making the institution proud.

The Ag. Vice Chancellor urged Professor Ambali to bring to bear the qualities of the excellent scholar that he is in the conduct of the study and bring more fame to the University.
