Kwara university postpones 10th convocation ceremony
The authorities of the Kwara State University, Malete, has postponed the 10th convocation ceremony of the institution earlier scheduled to commence on Tuesday December 6, 2022.
No official reason was given for the postponement.
The management also suspended all activities for one week following the recent death of the institution's vice chancellor, Professor Muhammed Mustafa Akanbi.
A statement from the office of the university 's register, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, announcing the postponement weekend reads: “This is to inform members of the university community and the general public that Senate, at its meeting held Wednesday, 30th November, 2022 approved the postponement of the 10th convocation ceremony earlier scheduled to commence from Tuesday, 6th December, 2022.
“A new date for the ceremony will be announced later.
“All inconveniences are highly regretted.”
