As preparations reached advance stage towards the formal commissioning of Ilorin Central Mosque, a former Governor of Kwara State and Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has expressed satisfaction with the level of work done on the Ultra modern Central Mosque scheduled for commissioning on Friday.

Senator Saraki who gave this assessment while speaking with journalists after inspecting the level of work at the Central Mosque, described the mosque as one of the best in the world. According to him, "I have visited many mosques across the world. This is one of the best".

The senator who was conducted round the mosque by the consultant handling the project, Architect Jamiu Faworaja called on the people of Ilorin Emirate and Muslim Ummah in general to see the mosque as a collective edifice by working jointly towards its maintenance.

Senator Saraki also expressed satisfaction that modalities have been put in place to ensure that the edifice enjoys regular maintenance as the company handling the maintenance of the National Mosque, Abuja has been commissioned to handle the Ilorin Central Mosque
