Date: 2022-08-05

Three suspected armed kidnappers have been remanded in Ilorin correctional centre.

They are Bature Seriki, Lawal Jamiu, and Fatimoh Anaruwa.

The suspects, according to the police First Information Report, FIR, allegedly abducted one Biliaminu who was coming from Lagos to Kwara State along with four of his friends for a burial ceremony.

The five abducted persons were taken to a thick forest at Aboto village near Afon, in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

However, efforts of a combined team of the police, vigilante, and local hunters yielded fruitful results leading to the arrest of the suspects in the bush.

Zacchaeus Folorunsho, prosecuting police officer, requested the court through a motion to remand the suspects for the alleged offence preferred against them.

Magistrate Ibrahim Dasuki, in his ruling, granted the request, remanded the suspects, and adjourned the case till August 29, 2022 for further mention.
