Boyfriend Leads Operation To Rob Lover N9.5m In Kwara - Police
An Ilorin magistrates' court sitting in Kwara State has remanded one Rubabat Sanni for robbing his Beninese lover, Zubera Bio Gbengagi, of the sum of CFA 10m (N9.5 million).
According to the Police First Information Report (FIR), the incident occurred while Zubera was sleeping in a room in the house of her lover, Abubakar Sanni, in Abu-Ogun compound in Yashikira area.
The FIR reads in part: “He (Abubakar) led five gunmen into the room and robbed the victim of the said amount along with one Infinix Hot 6 valued at N70,000 and one small Samsung phone valued at N6,000.”
The police said investigation led to the arrest of one Abubakar Abdulazeez who returned the key of the victim's motorcycle which was earlier taken away by Sanni Abubakar during the robbery.
The police further said, “Abubakar Abdulazeez also fingered one Attairu Ibrahim; that he knows about the robbery incident and the whereabouts of Sanni Abubakar who is now at large.”
The Magistrate, Ibrahim Dasuki, ordered that the defendants be remanded in a correctional facility and adjourned August 4, 2022.
