How Beninese mother bore children for her sons in Kwara - NSCDC

Adamu Sabi Sime, a Benin Republic citizen arrested by the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly having canal knowledge of his biological mother has justified his action, describing it as proper conduct in his custom and tradition.

NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Babawale Afolabi, in Ilorin had confirmed that Adamu's mother had given birth to three children for her son.

The alleged vice, coded as incest was reported by one Mallam Bandede, the district head of Mosne community in the Kaiama Local Government Area of the state. Kiama is a border town in Kwara North Senatorial District of the state.

Preliminary investigations showed that the suspected man is an illegitimate immigrant in Nigeria.

Sources told The Guardian in Ilorin that the man had justified his action describing it as a norm in his custom and tradition.

Besides, a source at the NSCDC, Ilorin told The Guardian that the suspect was not remorseful for his actions, but rather justifying same as "normal in our area of nativity." The statement reads; "on Thursday September 9, 2021, one Mallam Bandede, the district head of Mosne Had community in the Kaiama local government area of the state reported an incestuous act being committed by one Adamu Sabi Sime and his mother, Fati Sime, of the same community.

"Men from the intelligence unit and NSCDC operatives in Kaiama swung into action and the outcome of the investigations established the fact that the mother (Fati) has three children for her biological son. Further check revealed that the younger brother of the accused, who was also confirmed to be sleeping with the mother is now at large."

The NSCDC command also said that the mother and her two sons do not have the necessary papers to stay in Nigeria, adding that the suspects had been handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service for background check and further actions.
