Residents of Odofa area in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara state have been charged to make peace, unity, love and understanding their watchword in order to move the town forward.

The Baale of Odofa, Alhaji Saliu Yusuf who made the appeal also charged them to refrain from all acts capable of tarnishing the image of the community or their own names.

Alhaji Yusuf who gave the charge at the annual general meeting, also stressed the need for them to cooperate with the elders, while they should contribute meaningfully to the development of the area in particular and Offa as a whole.

He implored residents of Odofa, home and in the diaspora to live peacefully with their hosts and to attract development projects to their immediate community in particular and Offa in general.

He also appealed to them to contribute in cash and kind towards the early take off and completion of the compound's proposed project.

In his own speech, the Public Relations Officer of Odofa, Prince Ademola Ajibade, who commended the community head pledged that the people would team up for the progress of the Odofa and the Offa community.

The meeting was witnessed by people from different parts of the country.
