Date: 2021-06-05

No fewer than 507 communities in Kwara State will benefit from the federal government's COVID-19 Rapid Response Scheme.

Head of Operations, Coordinating Unit of the National Social Safety-nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO) in the state, Taiye Iliasu, disclosed this following the conclusion of its sensitisation programme on COVID-19 Rapid Response Register (RRR) in the state held in Kosuboso, the headquarters of Baruten Local Government Area.

According to him, the process of registering beneficiaries for the project will involve deployment of Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) code and broadcasting of Short Messaging Service (SMS) to cell-phones in all eligible communities.
