Date: 2021-01-16

The entire management, coaching crew, and staff of Kwara United rejoices with three Kwarans who have made it to the final of the 2021 WAFU Championship with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.

Golden Eaglets on Friday night defeated Burkina Faso 1-0 in the first semifinal encounter thanks to a brilliant goal by Emmanuel Michael which condemned the Babes to defeat.

Philip Titiloye, John Emmanuel, and Akambi Jimoh are the three Kwarans who are currently in the Golden Eaglets team in Lome, Togo.

Born and raised in America, Philip Titiloye is the son of Kwara United Chairman Kumbi Titiloye and the superstar has been impressive for the Golden Eaglets.

John Emmanuel joined Kwara United from the famous Arsenal Academy in Ilorin under Coach Soni Aihamioje and his brilliant styles of play paved the ways for him into the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.

Akanbi Jimoh is the son of Baale of Ganmon and he is one of the goalkeepers in the Golden Eaglets camp in Togo as they will be waiting for the winner between Ivory Coast and the Niger Republic.

"We are happy to see three Kwarans in the Golden Eaglets team and it is a good one for the state as we congratulate our boys for making the state proud and wish them success in the final of the WAFU competition," Kwara United explained through a statement from the media team.

Meanwhile, Philip Titiloye, John Emmanuel, and Akanbi Jimoh are also expected to be part of the Under 17 African Cup of Nations in Morocco between March 13-31 this year.
