MD , Balogun Fulani Micro Finance Bank emerges new chairman of NAMBs in Kwara

New officers have been elected to run the affairs of the Kwara State branch of the National Association of Micro Finance Banks ( NAMBs) for another two years.

Alhaji Muhammed Issa Erubu , the Managing Director of Balogun Fulani Micro Finance Bank, Ilorin emerged as the new chairman, the position of Vice Chairman went to Hajia Shade Lawal of Stockcorp Microfinance Bank, Offa, Dr Fatai Bello of (KCMB) , was voted for as Secretary, and Adebowale Titus of Osi Microfinance bank was elected as Assistant Secretary.

Other officers elected are Dele Olawoye of Ibolo Micro Finance, as Public Relations Officer, Hajia Aishat Ibrahim Bature ( Azabe Microfinance Bank) as treasurer while the position of Financial Secretary went to Gabriel Adeyeye of Ilofa Microfinance Bank.

In his post election speech , the new chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Issa Erubu promised to strengthen the operations of Microfinance banks across the state and make the welfare of it members as paramount.

According to him, his executive would frontally address all the challenges confronting the banks and enter into synergy with all sectors while the relationship with their customers would be better enhanced.

Alhaji Issa Erubu also disclosed that they would enter into fresh and constructive discussions and negotiations with the state government on the need for the government to reverse it's earlier decision to civil servants to withdraw their salaries from Microfinance banks.

He lamented that with the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with such decision of the government had further affected the day to day runnings of the banks and therefore urged the government to reverse the decision.

The chairman commended the past executive of the Microfinance banks for putting the banks on a solid foundation , praised the electoral committee for conducting a free and fair election and thanked members for voting them into office for another two years in office.

The peaceful election took place at the KWACCIMA House in Ganmo.
