AbdulRazaq Congratulates Kwara Ambassador Nominees

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has congratulated the three non-career ambassador nominees from the state, saying their appointment is an evidence of a new dawn in the state.

This is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin of Thursday.

The nominees, according to Ajakaye, were former representative of Nigeria at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ibrahim Kayode Laaro; a technocrat, Abioye Bello; and a former Head of Service in Kwara, Hajia Zara Umar.

"The Governor congratulates all the three nominees for their pick which he believes speaks to their antecedents as illustrious professionals, thought leaders, and technocrats who have paid their dues in their respective fields and have served the state meritoriously at different times."

"The Governor believes the nominees' experience and goodwill and their new positions, when confirmed, would strengthen the aspirations of the people of Kwara State for better opportunities in various parts of the world."

"He commends Mr President for once again proving his special love for the people of Kwara State through these appointments."

"The Governor prays Almighty God to guide the nominees as they go through Senate screening and their assignments," the statement read in part.
