UNILORIN FM now on 'Radio Garden'

The University of Ilorin campus radio station, UNILORIN 89.3 FM, is now on the 'Radio Garden', a global technological innovation in radio redistribution services.

The 'Radio Garden' is a digital device developed by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision through which the stations captured on it can be clearly monitored at any time from any part of the world.

Station Manager, Mr. Idris Akintola Ibrahim (Alooma), described the inclusion of UNILORIN FM on the network of about 25,000 international radio stations as a milestone.

Alooma said: "The station is now one of the 25,000 radio stations across the world enjoying the service and certainly one of the very few of such in Nigeria".

To ensure that the station is easily accessible, Alooma said the management promotes it on the social media.

Reacting to the development, the Director, Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr. Kunle Akogun, said that "the capturing of the only functional campus radio station in Kwara State in the global radio technology is a confirmation of the unparalleled status of the station among its peers not only within Kwara State but also across Nigeria".
