"Buhari is a very honest man and has shown capacity for statesmanship. Go out and vote for him on Saturday.

The LP candidate also lent his support for President Buhari's order that security agents should be go tough on ballot box snatchers during the general elections.

He said there was nothing wrong in declaring war on political thugs, who intended to frustrate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)'s bid to conduct free and credible elections.

"Mr president never mentioned any party specifically. I wonder why PDP are wailing and politicising everything," said.

The former Vice-President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), also condemned the political crisis in Ojoku, Oyun Local Government Areas of the state which claimed one life.

He described the incident as 'sad' and unacceptable in Kwara politics.

Aremu called on youths to be disciplined and not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs on Saturday.

"We need to say no to thuggery, kidnapping, assassination and political crisis in order to move forward as a nation," he added.
