Kwara DOS appointed 19th NSF organizing committee member

Kwara State Director of Sports, Mallam Tunde Kazeem, who also doubles as the Chairman, Directors' of Sports Forum in Nigeria has been appointed as a member of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the forthcoming 19th National Sports Festival, scheduled to hold in Abuja in November.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Olusade Adesola, the committee is charged with the responsibility of organizing the 19th National Sports Festival.

Calabar, Cross River state was stripped of the hosting right for the Games by the National Council on Sports last month, after failing to organize the festival since 2014.

The Ministry noted that the success of the Games rests to a larger extent, on the shoulders of the MOC, charging that they need to bring their experience to bear on the preparation to ensure a successful festival.

The committee will be inaugurated by the Minister for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Solomon Dalung, on Thursday 29th March, 2018, by 2.00pm, at the VIP Lounge of the National Stadium Complex, Package A, Abuja.
