Kwara Govt Calls For Enforcement Of Local Content Law

The Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, has called for strict enforcement of the state local content law to empower the state's artisans and boost the local economy.

The governor made the call when he received the state's Executive Council of Kwara artisans congress led by its President, Saad Alawaye at the Government House, Ilorin.

According to him, it is mandatory to patronise artisans by carrying out the provisions of the law to the latter a form of empowerment to entrepreneurs in the state.

The governor charged the association to maintain a strong database of its members across the state to assist the government in its various intervention schemes to the association.

He explained that his administration organised the association in order to standardise its services, get involved in its improved service delivery and facilitate easy collection of taxes among its members.

He also assured that the association that the government would continue to patronise and support it as a key driver of the state's economy.
