Saraki, again, sues for peace in Kwara

Date: 2012-08-20

A former Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Abubakar Saraki, has, again, sued for peace among the people of the state.
Saraki, who is now the senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, spoke again with the Kwara State pilgrims during the lesser Hajji in Meccah, Saudi Arabia.

He said he regretted any misconception of the urbanisation law initiated by his administration during his tenure as governor and assured the people of the state that steps were being taken, in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders, including members of the state House of Assembly, to review the law.

The former governor said as a responsive government, the administration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed is not leaving any stone unturned towards addressing legitimate issues raised by concerned groups.

He appealed to all concerned, in the spirit of the just-concluded Ramadan, to tread the path of dialogue, peace and harmony, for which the state is known, to transform the state to a model one.
"I align myself with all progressive groups in addressing the pressing needs of our people," the senator said.
