FA Cup Semis: 'Heartland Can't Stop Prime' - Ogunjobi
Taiwo Ogunjobi, the Chairman, Osun Football Association, on Wednesday boasted that Heartland FC of Owerri would not stand in the way of Prime FC of Osogbo, to the 2012 Federation Cup final.
Prime, a Nigerian National League side, would on Aug. 15 tackle Heartland, the 2011 Federation Cup winner, at Ilorin in one of the semi finals of the 2012 tournament.
Ogunjobi, in an interview with the journalists in Ilorin, said that Prime had been tested, considering the calibre of teams they had eliminated in the competition.
According to the former Nigerian International, Prime will pull another surprise against Heartland, a Nigeria Premier League side, by qualifying for the final of the 2012 competition.
"Although, Prime are just coming up, they had been tested. We beat Rangers, Sharks, and Enyimba; so, Heartland should not be our headache.
"We are also happy that we are playing in Ilorin; it is like playing at home. Our chance against Heartland is very big," Ogunjobi said.
He, however, urged football fans in Kwara to come out en mass and support the team, saying that Prime, an emerging club, needed a lot of encouragement.
It would be recalled taht Prime last week lost 0-3 to the National U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, in a friendly match played at Ilorin.
The friendly was ahead of the Eagles' second leg clash with the Ngorogoro Heroes of Tanzania in the 2013 Africa Youth Championship qualifier on Aug, 12.
