Clergy urges Nigerians to love each other sincerely as the nation marks democracy day

Date: 2017-05-29

Nigerians have been implored to love one another without any condition as the nation marks another democracy day.

The Assistant Pastor Glorious Cathedral of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Olorunsogo , Ilorin , Olatunde Oladokun who made the call while speaking on the democracy day celebration said love is of God.

The clergy observed that most people love when they want to use people to get one favour or the other but rather, urged people to love with the fear of God. Assistant Pastor Oladokun stated further that people should love each other without malice, fighting , misunderstanding , should shun ego , envy or bitterness or personnel destruction.

He passionately appealed to Nigerians to put smiles on the faces of their neighbors and shun the idea where some people will claim they love, yet they can't respect one another, want to dominate others and also embarrass others by taking advantages over others.

The clergy cautioned that people should not love because of money , position and influences as all these are for the world and that people should take care of others while they are alive and not when they are dead.

Assistant Pastor Oladokun who is the Executive Programme Director of SEAP, noted that what the nation and most states of the federation and the Nigerian people are currently passing through are not an end but makes the country and the citizenry stronger and urged the people to go back to God for mercy and sacrifice.

According to him , this is not the time of justification but time to rethink on the type of love they have for fellow beings.
