Date: 2017-05-12

A 2015 governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, has commiserated with the families of late Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Saheed Dele and Sheik Ahmad Abdulkadir Alaye over the demise of the clerics.

Similarly, Lawal condoled with the relatives of the Chairman, PDP Kwara Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Mustapha Salman Isowo and Alhaji Musa Maiyaki over the death of their mother and wife respectively.

The former gubernatorial aspirant stated this when he paid a condolence visit to the bereaved families in Ilorin, the state capital.

He also commiserated with Maimasa family in Ojagboro, Ilorin and Alhaji Amosa Okolo, who lost two of his children.

Lawal expressed shock over the loss of the renowned clerics, who were foundation and pillars of Islam in Ilorin.

He said the death came when their scholarly advices were mostly needed in advancing the cause of Islam and consolidating the existing peace and tranquility in the state.

Lawal maintained that the clerics would be remembered for their invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Ilorin and the state in particular.

He also sympathized with the Emir of Ilorin over the clerics' demise and prayed Almighty Allah to grant them eternal rest and Al-Janat Firadus.

He also visited the new Imam-Gambari, Alhaji Sulaiman Abdul-Azeez and beseeched Allah to give wisdom and divine guide to successfully discharge the duty of his office.
