Winner of the House of Assembly rerun election for the Ilorin North-West constituency, Abdulfatah Salman, has promised to be more responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people of his constituency.

Speaking with journalists after receiving his certificate of return at the Kwara State secretariat of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ilorin, Salman also said the experience has made him a better politician.

He thanked the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and party supporters in the state for their steadfastness, saying he would not let them down stressing that he did not know the essence of winning an election until the rerun election..

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Chief Timothy Ibitoye, in his remark, said the electoral body had fulfilled its promise of ensuring free, fair and credible election.
