Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Tuesday expressed sadness over the death of a former Minister of Education, Alhaji Saka Saadu and described him as a quintessential bureaucrat whose visionary initiatives helped to advance the nation's education system in no small measure.

Saraki in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, the Ilorin Emirate and the people and government of Kwara State on the incident.

He said It was part of the good legacies left by the late Saadu that he served Kwara State in various capacity as a civil servant, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the State Government. He will be sorely missed," Saraki said.

While praying Allah to grant the deceased a place among the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus, he called on the family to take solace in the worthy legacy left by Saadu.
