The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association, (IEYDA) has joined millions of Nigerians to felicitate with the Emir of Origin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari on the occasion of his 21st year on the throne as his forbearers.

At a special programme organised in honour of the revered monarch, the on Thursday converged to pray for long life, prosperity as well as sound health for their Emir in order to record more achievements on the throne.

The prayer was led by the Vice President of the association, Mallam Muritala Ottan, who gave thanks to almighty Allah for the peaceful reign of the Emir as the eleventh paramant ruler of the Ilorin Emirate.

Chairman Erubu Asunnara Youth Development Association, Mallam Ibrahim Mujeeb Erubu, and his counterpart Mallam Ishola Zakariyyah, President Otte Youth Association under IEYDA, however, identified numerous successes recorded in the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large during the reign of Alhaji Sulu-Gambari and prayed Allah to grant him wisdoms for the development of the Ilorin Emirate.

Speaking at the prayer session, the President of the association, Alhaji Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen called on Islamic clerics to pray for peace , tranquility and harmony among the descendants of the Ilorin Emirate both home and abroad stressing that only peaceful co-existence can bring about development.

In his remarks, the IEYDA's PRO, Alhaji Usman Mohammad Jagunmo called on indigenes of the Ilorin Emirate, Kwarans and Nigerians at large to be full of repentance and return to God Almighty for forgiveness and purification in order to recover from the current economic recession.

Also present at the prayer session was a member of the Board of Trustees, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona. He enumerated various contributions and strides of the Traditional ruler to both human and capital development of the Ilorin Emirate. He therefore, prayed for the Emir to live long on the throne with sound mind plus happiness.
