Police recruitment: Kwara Police arrests two for impersonation

The Kwara state police command has arrested two persons for alleged impersonation in the on-going nationwide police recruitment exercise in Ilorin, the state capital. The command also said the two suspects would face severe punishment if found guilty.

The Police Public Relations Officer,(PPRO),Mr Ajayi Okasanmi disclosed this in an exclusive interview with The Herald at the Kwara State Police Training School(PTS),Ilorin on Monday. Ajayi informed that 2150 applicants are qualified to sit for the examination in the state in the on-going recruitment exercise.

The police image maker however warned applicants to comply strictly with the rules and regulations of the examination or face punishment. He said the command had earlier conducted physical screening for the applicants ,'those that were qualified in the previous examination are now shortlisted for the written examination".

Ajayi Okasanmi explained that 1029 applicants are to sit for the examination into special duty and 941 applicants are to write examination into general duty. He added that the excess of the rigorous examination and test were to ensure that qualified personnel are recruited into the Nigeria Police Force.
