The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has urged the people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large to continue to pray for Nigerian leaders and for peaceful co-existence to reign supreme in the country.

The monarch made the call yesterday during a special prayer marking his 21st years anniversary on the throne.

Sulu-Gambari thanked Allah for taking him this far and for ensuring that the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State continue to develop with numerous accomplishments since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

He also emphasised that the experiences gathered during his days as a judge have no doubt prepared him for the stool of his forefathers, stressing that the job of traditional rulers requires enormous wisdom, patient, tolerance, and perseverance.

While leading other Islamic scholars in the prayers, the Imam Imale of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullahi AbdulHameed prayed Allah to grant the monarch long life . He noted that Ilorin Emirate had recorded numerous achievements in the last 21 years and urged the Emir to be steadfast in prayers for his subjects and the nation at large.
