Kwara United FC visits Children Reception Home, seeks support, prayers
In their bid to seek more support and prayers ahead of the 2015/2016 NNL, players and officials of Kwara United FC today (Saturday) visited the Children Reception Center, Ilorin to show love to the children.
Th team's head coach, John Sam Obuh said that the visit was to show concern and contribute to the wellbeing of the children, and also seek for their ptayers as the team prepares to begin their league campaign.
Obuh, who later joined the Team Manager, Jimoh Oke, the players and other officials to present gifts to the children said that the target of the team was to return back to the Premier League. The Officer-in-Charge of the center, Ikupolati Taiye promised that they will continue to pray for the success of the team.
He explained that five categories of children are in the center, and they include the abandoned children, the motherless babies, children of lunatics, disputed children and lost but found children, all of whom he said can be adopted by interested members of the public.
While describing the players as 'our ambassadors', he said that the center will pray for enough strength, wisdom and courage for the players, with which they will pilot the team to the promised land.
One of the children, Hadiza Abdulfatah prayed for the team. Meanwhile the team enters camp today, ahead of their first match against Adamawa United FC on May 7th, at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium.
