In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Shuaib Abdulkadir in Ilorin on Saturday, Ahmad further described ?the lawmaker's death as very sudden as he was hale and hearty throughout the last seating on Thursday.

He stated that the deceased who is a member, House Committee on Health and Environment was a very responsible personality who is always found to discharge his statutory functions effectively ?and carry out any assignment given to him diligently.

The speaker added that late Afolayan's positive contr?ibutions at the floor could not be over-emphasised as he was full of wisdom, very experienced and knowledgeable about various issues affecting the society.

?Until the late legislator's demise, Ahmad noted that he contributed positively to the effectiveness of the 8th Assembly and would be sorely missed by all lawmakers and staff of the House of Assembly.

The speaker who enjoined the family to take solace in the fact that late Afolayan lived a fulfilled life said they should be delighted that their family produced someone of his calibre who would be very missed by the state.

?He however condoled the Kwara State Government, members of the state House of Assembly and his immediate family, praying that God give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
