The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has declared that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be defeated whenever local government council elections are conducted in the state.

The party in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, said the monumental corruption perpetrated by the PDP-led government in the last dispensation was unequalled in the history of Nigeria.

"Having noted the wish and hallucination of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as regards the next local government council elections in Kwara State, It must be expressly stated that if council election holds tomorrow the APC will triumph and the PDP is bound to suffer the same fate it suffered during the 2015 general elections.

"Infact, the present state of Kwara PDP has become severely pathetic. The party is daily-bleeding and more disorganised than ever. ?As a matter of fact, after the 2015 general election, many credible leaders of the party have formally dissociated themselves from its activities while many more PDP leaders have found refuge in our party, the APC.

"Instead of taking the honorable step of joining hands with the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led government to address the harsh effects of PDP's massive looting and mismanagement of national resources, the party chooses to infect the airwaves with childish propaganda by making hallucinations on council elections. The PDP should stop being emotional with its childish propaganda.

"?Perhaps, the PDP should be reminded of the level of damage it perpetrated in this country. In the face of severe attacks and killings of Nigerians and our military men by Boko Haram elements, who could have imagined that any public official would divert funds meant for arms to private pockets?

"It happened during the PDP era. Under the leadership of the same PDP, returned looted funds from past government were re-looted by top PDP leaders. The monumental corruption perpetrated during the PDP era is unequalled in the history of Nigeria.

"Finally, the factors that led to the dismal outing of Kwara PDP in the last general elections are still constant. No nature of rebranding can save it from self-induced trauma. The identity of the party is as defective as the characters of its leaders.

"For the people of Kwara State, PDP has been dumped into the basket of infamy, it said.
