Kwara urges FG to recruit more NSCDC personnel
The Federal Government has been urged to employ additional personnel into Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps with a view to enabling it deliver on its mandate.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe, stated this on Monday when he visited the state Headquarters of the corps in Ilorin, state capital.
He was received during the visit by the state commandant of the corps, Barrister Augustine Obiekwe.
Ajeigbe explained that additional officers were needed to be enlisted into the corps to further complement the internal security of the Nigerian police. He also called for training and retraining of the existing personnel in the security outfit to meet the current trend of crime and criminality.
The commissioner assured that the state government would be ready to create interface with the agency, urging it to engage in civil issues that can create problems.
