APC will win Kogi, realised Audu's dreams - Ali Ahmad

Date: 2015-11-24

Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Dr Ali Ahmad said the sudden death of Prince Audu Abubakar would not deter the All Progressives Congress (APC) from winning the supplementary election and bring the much desire change to Kogi State.

Ahmad who rued the APC gubernatorial candidate at the last Sat?urday poll's demise described his passage as tragic for the ruling party, his state and Nigeria as a nation.

In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Shuaib Abdulkadir, the Speaker stressed that the only thing the party could do to make late Audu's dream a reality was to ensure that the poll is won convincingly and provide dividends of democracy to his people.

?He added that as a former governor who has served the state meritoriously, there was no denying fact that the late prince was loved and respected by his people.

This, Ahmad stated was justified with the manner the Kogites both old and young trooped out enmass to cast their votes for him last Saturday, noting that until death his priority remains how to serve his people and nothing more.

Throughout electioneering campaign, ?the Speaker noted that the deceased was obsessed with how to quickly come on board and end the people's sufferings which demonstrated his sense of commitment, dedication and loyalty to the cause of making Kogi great again.

He further described late Audu as one of the strong chieftains of the ruling party ?who contributed positively and immensely to the success of APC at the last general election.

The Speaker who stated that death is inevitable as every soul have been destined to taste it at the appointed time commiserated with his family, the party and the state as a whole.

He prayed Allah to be with his immediate family and give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable loss.
