Commissioners: Ahmed sends 9 additional names to Assembly

Date: 2015-10-30

Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has sent nine more names to the House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners.

This brought to 19 the names of commissioner-nominees sent to the Assembly for confirmation, according to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Dr. Muyideen Akorede.

The statement said Ahmed, in a letter through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Isiaka Gold, thanked the Speaker and other members of the Assembly for the speedy confirmation of the first batch of nominees.

The governor hoped the new names would be treated with the same despatch. Ten commissioner-nominees were confirmed by the House of Assembly last week.
