KWSG Cancels Independence Parade Over Security Concerns
In a statement issued last night, the Secretary to the Government of Kwara State, Alhaji Sola Isiaka Gold, said the cancellation follows security reports that certain individuals arrived the state overnight with the intention of unlawfully disrupting the independence day celebration and endangering lives.
Alhaji Gold regretted any inconvenience caused by the cancellation but stressed that the government considers public safety more paramount.
