Date: 2015-09-07

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), has congratulated two of the University's alumni, Mr. Abdulrazak Isiaka and Mr. Babatunde Victor Adeniran, on their recent appointments as Group Executive Directors of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

While Mr. Abdulrazak was appointed Group Executive Director (Finance), Mr. Babatunde was appointed Group Executive Director (Commercial and Investment) in one of the first appointments to be announced by President Muhammadu Buhari on assumption of office.

In separate letters of congratulation sent to the two Unilorin alumni, the Vice-Chancellor said, "It is with great delight that the University of Ilorin Administration received the news of your appointment".

In the letter signed on his behalf by the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi, Prof. Ambali said, "As one of the outstanding alumni of our great University, we are proud that you have distinguished yourself in your place of endeavour to have been recognised and elevated to this reputable status even when others are being relieved of their positions.

"On behalf of the entire University of Ilorin community, I write to congratulate you on this laudable achievement, which has marked you out among your colleagues and made you a leading light of your alma mater."
