Press Release: Kwara Assembly urges citizens to send open complains via mails

As part of effort to ensure effective legislation and adequate contribution from members of the public to achieve legislative excellence, Kwara State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Dr. Ali Ahmad has introduced an electronic channel where citizens can contribute to the legislative processes in the state.

The speaker, in an interview session on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Ilorin titled 'Guest of the Moment' reiterated that the general public were important to achieve proper legislation for the 8th Assembly to achieve its agenda.

Dr. Ahmad stress the need to redefine Kwara State House of Assembly to be the House of the people which would have the interest of the people at heart and charged all Honourable Members to always respect the wishes of the masses irrespective of the personalities.

The speaker also encourage the people to participate in legislative activities and get involve in governance by engaging in constructive criticism rather than sitting at a corner and criticising the government destructively.

Ahmad assured that the general public that the 8th Kwara Assembly under his leadership would be an open House and operate an open legislation for transparency and accountability.

He urged the people of the State to forward their Petitions, Mem?os and Complains to the House via email 'speaker@kwha.gov.ng ' and monitor the activities of the House on Media houses and social media.?
