Kwara APC Decries 'Interference' in Senate Affairs

Date: 2015-08-20

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani, has expressed worry over what he called 'interference' by outsiders in the affairs of the Nigerian Senate.

He also said that there were no abnormalities in the emergence of Dr Bukola Saraki and Senator Ike Ekweremadu as Senate President and Deputy Senate President.

Speaking to Daily Trust in llorin yesterday, Fulani maintained that the activities of the Senate should be left exclusively for the senators.

"I am worried that outsiders are interfering with the activities of the upper chamber," the chairman said.

He therefore appealed to the senators not to allow outside forces to override their legislative functions or overheat the polity.
